The Project on Strengthening the Capacity of Fighting against Money

The aim of the project carrying out by MASAK in the framework of Financial Cooperation Program between Turkey and EU is to constitute a legal, institutional and technical frame effectively within the scope of Acquis Communitaire and its implementations. The project’s target is to make Turkish Anti-money Laundering System one of the effective systems in the world.         

The project is composed of twinning, technical assistance and investment stages.

it is aimed at that the anti-money laundering system in Turkey would become one of the most effective systems in the world.

The twinning and technical stages of the project were completed in 2006. The provisional acceptance of the investment stage was performed on 20.10.2006 of whose final acceptance will be done in 2009.
